you can try out nightly builds of firefox to give it a shot.....much much more faster and usable currently I'm using that

can u remind me please if there is repo for nighties or u just install with dpkg everytime?

if you follow the instructions on this page you'll be able to get the nightly builds.

Trust me, it's worth it. The latest builds are much faster, the portrait mode is pretty good, you can press and hold on a link to open it in a background tab. Not quite as smooth as MicroB yet, but still pretty damn good.

Thanks for the promotion! Yep, we're holding a testday on the latest for Fennec 1.1. It'll be on #testday on irc.mozilla.org. Thanks for bringing it up!

I would like to know if there is a solution for my problem. When I'm using GPRS connection Fennec acts like there is no internet connection (can't open any page). Meanwhile all other browsers work fine (MicroB, Chromium, IceWeasel).

Same issue is with version 1.0 or 1.1 beta.
