In ref to USB power slot, something I did even when I had the silicone cases, I used a small file and filed down the edges on the plastic holding the usb plug on the mains power charger. It allowed the USb port to connect far easier to my N900 when it has any sort of case on. Just by smoothing the edges made it fit some much better.

I have cut off the plastic next to the USB power slot and now it works well. Also, i have cut out the screen area which makes the device easier to use.
For extra protection in my pocket, i am looking for a soft sock as well. Is there any sock which is big enough to take the gel case?
