thats the thing, restart doesnt work. it just keeps using CPU

also batterygraph shows for some reason at the moment(just came back from my gf's house) that i am connecting to an network while i have wifi disabled and i am not connected to anything :s



edit: i started looking at the time i left to my girlfriends house(she has an unprotected wi-fi modem) and i left at around 21:20 so somewhere near the time i started seeing network on the batterygraph...

is wifi switcher not working ?

damn maybe i should just go reflash the device...

Do you use the media widget? Try disabling it and restarting. Is the CPU usage still maxed directly after boot?

how do i disable the mediaplayer ?

switch off... take battery off.. wait a few minutes.. then put battery and switch on..
that did the trick for me when my cpu usage and batery consumption was high

Scroll through your desktops, when you see the media player widget, click on a blank space, click the gear at the top right, close the widget.

pulled out the battery and the SD where my music is on... restarted it. tho still having heavy CPU usage

try "killall gst-video-thumbnailerd"

you can kill the process by tiping the process id, so "kill 1175"
maybe this will work for you
