If you try to go to a site and T-Mobile has blocked it (google for example), you will be redirected to your T-Zone webpage. However, if you type in something like - http://news.bbc.co.uk/low it will open the low graphics version of the BBC news site..

I have shortcuts to things on yahoo mobile - like my local cinema movie times on my desktop.

I set my gmail to forward a copy of all my emails to a Yahoo account that I created so I can read my emails on the road for free.

This is all on the wap.voicestream.com APN with no data plan whatsoever

OK, I've figured some of it out. But when I point to, say, starwars.com it doesn't take me anywhere. It just sits there spinning its tires. If I type in news.bbc.co.uk/low like you suggested, it works just fine, and fast enough, too.

Yahoo.com does nothing. T-Mobile's website is of no help whatsoever. Any help?

Edit: Oh, duh. When I enter wap.myvoicestream.com as the url in the browser, I get something.

Oh and one more thing I figured out - you can use yahoo messenger (the web version)

http://m.yahoo.com/w/bp-messenger

and use yahoo Social Pulse - http://m.yahoo.com/w/oneconnect

you can keep track of your friends' facebook status updates and other social networks - even read tweets.

will let you access youtube - but the built-in media player wont play the files (ipod format?) maybe with a mplayer plugin for microb?

I have seen reports that t-mobile is offering a new "feature" of 99cents per four of data useage on prepaid plans: http://slickdeals.net/forums/showthr...id=0&t=2004048

Does anyone see this in their account/is being charged for this?

Does anyone know how this works with t-zones? How do they differentiate between t-zones traffic, and regular data?

If you try to go to google.com with regular prepaid data settings it will direct you to a page suggesting that you buy an hour of data. I have not been charged for any data for the things that I have been doing

Ok guys, this is awesome. I'm not using a N900 but a N810 with bluetooth, but its basically the same thing.

https is the trick for google. Gmail works. Google Voice works. Not sure about other things yet, will test more tomorrow.

You can "break" google by typing https://mail.google.com/m, and it takes you to normal google search

The yahoo stuff is awesome also. The best part is that all of this if 100% free!

More:

DialCentral works. This means FREE TEXTS, even if you have 0 minutes on your prepaid card, t-zones still works thus this hack still works!!!

ok now it gets better! With google reader you can READ ANY RSS FEED which means free blogs! YES!
