I would advice to buy from one of the forum-users here at the Buy & Sell section: http://talk.maemo.org/forumdisplay.php?f=27.

The good thing is: you can see who the sellers are (by looking at their previous posts) so you can find out if the guy (or girl) has been a serious N900-user. That's not much, but more than you know about any anonymous Ebay-poster. You can find good deals for 350 USD.

I got mine on Ebay from a gentleman who didn't live very far from me and it so happened that he only used it for 3 days. Received everything as advertised. Not a scratch anywhere. He didn't even open the cloth. Everything was brand new and in perfect working order. I essentially got a brand new device for $455 with free shipping. Waited only 2 days to receive it.

Like someone said earlier, Ebay has a buyer protection program so if things are shady, you can get your money back. Be sure they have a 100% feedback rating. I advise you to brush up on your specs of the device in case you forgot. There are SEVERAL fake knockoff N900's labeling themselves AS N900. Clearly you can tell the difference so don't be duped. Good luck!!

I dont wanna loose more money and I really wanna another N900... It could be more safe if i buy through ebay? Plz give me advice, im some king of newbie buying thing through paypal

PD: Sry the long post and bad english, i hope u guys will help me and undestand me
I have an n900 that now meets your criteria http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=50554 I take Paypal. I will be willing to give my name, address, landline phone so you can verify my location and existence. I will require the same. If you like we can use an escrow service, but that increases the price. I am just as nervous as you are about this with someone I don't know. I've been on the forums for a while, I have been since ITT days and a 770. If that helps.

I know you can make a fairly detailed billed to send to a buyer through PP, would that not suffice?

Well, that makes two of us making a sacrifice then. I'm trying to convey I'll accept your price. I've left it be for a while, hoping a developer might need one. But that doesn't seem to be the case. If you're interested we can sort out the details. Of course it's for all the goodies listed in the original post.
