1.0 will be out this month and include the netbook UX. Handheld UX to follow later, by the sound of it shouldn't have to wait until 1.1 though.

Is the "Netbook UX" something similar to the current Moblin and/or at least some "different" UX - or is the "Netbook UX" currently just XFCE?

I'm pretty sure it will be the "real deal". I don't think they'd have referred to netbook UX specifically being there if it was just XFCE as a placeholder. I'd guess something pretty similar to Moblin.

What makes you so sure it's Nokia that is doing the reference handheld UX and not Intel? I mean, Nokia is making one for themselves obviously but I'm surprised if we'll see that before the launch of the Nokia's MeeGo device later this year.

It would be a good idea if nokia did release there UX before they released a new device so that users would be able to see the possibility's of MeeGo on a nokia device.

The update from nokia doesn't say it will be ready for may, we can still hope, so its a tedious wait for the release with no actual release date.

Totally agree, but looking at Nokias history they usually show the new UI or OS with a new device announcement.
