Apps sucks? You mean the official apps on phone? IMO. Yes they are not what they should be on device that has ~550 price tag. Also Nokias inability to put up Nokia ovi store is just starting to look like joke. About apps here that are free are just wonderful.

what is your work routine with N900. There is n+1 threads about how to improve battery life. The rule of thumb of course is to disable all the internet widgets from your desktops and IM-accounts. And use internet Only when you are using it. Idling in IM (skype, messenger, gtalk etv) and Facebook or other widget that uses packet data drains battery in ~5-6h.

Yes if you want to use it for whole day. Now make your decision: Sell it or adapt to it and try to find solutions. Thatīs it.
.edit
I would advise not to use facebook widget and for IMs only msn (pecan).

i use pecan
brithness 1
duration 10 second
all the possible things that drains the battery , i put it off, dont use widget dont use nothing
my complain is...if the phone have all utilites but u cant use it...cause the battery will drain...thats not fair
i love n900 but the battery sucks
both rocks, the bb for the true push to mail and the policy handling and controlling and tracking with a BES
and the N900 for its xterm, vpn, streaming, fb, twit and so on
so i would not compare the 2 phones as they are for 2 different markets
running Knots2 and i Love it!
