I'm also trying to install Chromium and took the armel package, but I get the same error.

Any clues?

Not quite sure if it's still legal to distribute libxss1, since it's modified for Chromium.

Although if someone can clarify if it's legal or not, there's plenty of people who probably still have a libxss1 somewhere who might be willing to share.

@RAZOR

I have managed to install chromium in my phone today

for me there was four steps:
1) Activate the extras-devel repository from the application manager
2) sudo gainroot in xterm, apt-get install libxss1
3) disable the extras-devel repository from the application manager
4) download the chromium deb
5) install the cromium deb. for me it was by the xterm way: sudo gainroot; cd /home/user/MyDocs; dpkg-i chromium.deb

and it works!

nothing too impressive, but works

Got it working as well, thanks!
