By day time, the picture quality is good i think.

The worst is the video quality... They really need to improve framerate on all modes... I think it's unacceptable.

I agree.

however note that PR 1.2 is made a massive difference to the camera. if you not yet running it then upgrade and now there are some options for night picture and night video.

For those not familiar these topic has been discussed before... cannot recall where i read about it... but the real problem seems to be because of the metal frame around the camera, someone pointed out that removing the back cover resolved the problem completely and painting the chrome cover did not help either.

Interesting there is a third party heavy duty battery pack around that has a replacement cover as the battery is bigger, maybe that is part of the solution for this problem...

Since my previous phone is N82, I agree the N900 camera is ****. I hope it'll continued to be improved or someone will make a lomo app for it.

it´s always funny how people find other device waaaaaay better than other one.

So if N900 camera is **** and N82 is better then what kind of images you can get from iphone or from nexus one compared to n900 or n82. I´m just trying to get my "temperature" measurement to right scale. Actually it looks like people use logarithmic scale when comparing stuff

I totally agree on this one! But it seems that not to many people care about this? I found this quite irritating, as i tend to take videos more than still pictures.

I cant understand why it is so choppy! It should not do this. Does anyone know why? Camera hardware?

Play with ISO settings - at night you want them higher - but the camera will need to be steadier.
