Yeah by the time USB OTG be common there is already a new hype coming. Wireless charging? Screen 3D hologram? Solar powered phone? AI interactivity on phone? LOL would love to have a phone where I can talk and befriend with. Haha

It SHOULD be standard. That doesn't mean it will be. Just look at what Apple has finally gotten around to doing in these past few months for their phone user interface. Anyone can easily hold up the line with something so insignificant by hiding it in plain sight and then announcing new features but that's a software thing.

Personally the majority of my devices dating as far back as 2005 have the master/slave USB feature. MP3 players, MIDs, game devices, storage systems(don't ask), cameras and various others can interact with each other flawlessly. Phones need to catch up. It's the reason I still haven't bought one. If you see a phone that can't commune with a simple flash disk that you've had since 2001, that's the first sign that the device is not for you. Anything that can't keep up with the past is likely not going to be useful to you in the future.

Words to consider.

Yea, I would keep the phones you currently have and wait till next year or so. There's a good amount of newer mobile OS that will be coming out and it'll be better if you wait and see how they function.

I'm gonna probably get the n8, doesn't mean I will get rid of the n900.

If you're looking for one or the other only, I would just wait for it to come out and see what people say about it, and how many apps are available for it. Camera/video samples, etc.

as far as from what i`ve read the n8 has got a better camera but is technically inferior in every other aspect. from the youtube videos i`ve seen i dont even like the interface, you are very restricted in terms of designing your homescreens etc. no hardware keyboard..

the n8 is just more mainstream and less half-baked, thats about it i guess..

ahhh u guys are right. the only thing that attracted m'ewas the hd recording and the 12 mp camera. but i should wait for meego huh? but sometimes nokia releases great hardware on not so good OS and vice versa but im sticking with Nokia since im comfortable and i dont wanna buy these mainstream crap phones they advertise and everyone has. i wanna be unique. i love when people ask what my phone is or what it does. so i hope nokia releases a meego os with a nice phone that goes with it!

till then ill keep my 900 its not that i dont like it, its just that im the type of person who always needs better. but i guess the n8 isnt it yet. oh well. i love my n900 thanks guys.

there's a rumor about a meego device coming in winter. 12 MP with 720p video recording, 4" cap AMOLED display and better CPU-RAM-GPU. i'm waiting for that.

Get Motorola Shadow/Xtreme/Whatever in Q3, if it's available in your country. Since you are not confident at all about S^3 why not switch to Android.... It's very satisfying to use even if in pre-production status.... and if rumored is correct will get Froyo, though the device I played with had 2.1 instead.

If you can wait longer, then definitely suggest you wait for Meego... even if Meego is not what you want, you will have more choices by then since iPhone4 and newer Android devices are out.
