So I typed this into xterm cp /home/user/MyDocs/quake/* /home/user/baseq3

Now i put a space between cp and /home... then I did not put a space between quake/* and /home...

And I got this message in xterm: busybox v1.10.2 debain 3:1.......blah blah multi-cal binary

usage: cp (option).... source dest

~ $

Is this doing something and do i wait 20 minuts or is the command wrong?

Yep entirely wrong. Should be a space between /* and the next part ( the first address is the source of where the files as... the second is where we are copying them to. Also add an extra / at the end of the line.. so it becomes baseq3/

Note that if it works it will simply show a white line while processing.. no error.

Do i have to type root first before doing these commands?

It says cp: cannot stat home/user/MyDocs/quake/* : No such file or directory

I keep getting these type of errors. Do i hvae to manually create a baseq3 folder or does that command suppose to make it for you i ask this because the only folder i created myself is the quake folder per your instructions and it has the pak files in there.

Yes you probably need to be root. Also make sure you are typing /home/user/MyDocs/quake (and verify you put all your pak files in that folder).

So I typed in cp /home/user/MyDocs/quake/ /home/user/baseq3/

and it says this:

cp: omitting directory ' /home/user/MyDocs/quake'

Nokia-N900:~#

Is it doing something? If it is how do you know when its done? Also I didnt include the asterick * after quake/* because the asterick * is not a folder or directory right? I think thatrs why I was getting those files and directory not found erros because i was including the *.

Ok actually I googled omiting directory and it is a error, so I added a * so its this ......... /quake/*
and it went to a blank cursor line and 3 minuts later it back to blinking cursor ready to type something new.

No, the asterisk designates you want all files in that folder to be copied....

Now is where we give up on the xterm and go install Midnight Commander and use that to copy the pak files into the /home/user/baseq3/ folder.

Ok it worked it only took 3 minutes to copy not 20 minutes weird huh?

Anyways I added the *

So where is a list of the buttons for the game and how do you disable the accelometer functions or do you guys leave that on?

How do you exit the game?

It probably took a lot longer for me as I was copying off my MicroSD card.

Equals key is the only button that isn't the same as the usual. = is basically subsituted for escape. So hold Fn + , to back a menu. Use arrow keys (or tap) to navigate menus and enter to proceed.

I leave the accelerometer on, but you can disable it by modifying config files (just do a search in the other quake 3 threads.. it's been described plenty of times).

Hmmm dont know if the T4 map is messed up with its textures ingame or i corrupted quake3 already.

Before i read your reply about how to exit, I hit the top middle button to see if I see end task in the list and it wasnt there and it got stuck there but quak3 kept on running in the background so I had to turn off the n900 by holding down the ppower button for couple seconds, now I loaded T4 map tourney and the texture graphiocs are messed up.
