I think he might have meant a driver/flasher software CD.

If he meant a CD drive... you can't see it. It's being hidden by the built-in stealth technology.

PC Suite worked perfectly, at least when I got the N900(about 4 months ago). I don't see why you need to use Ovi suite(as in, what does it offer that PC Suite don't)?

Yes I think it's really true that a big multinational corporation keeps in its heart ecologist care for the nature and that is not an excuse to spare the money for a cd.

I wish the manual was included on paper. I bet we'd get better-informed users if it was. And I would be better-informed myself.

Didn't the n900 have little to 0 ovi suite support when it came out?

Nokia is pushing ovi suite now. And it would be pointless to include a suite with the n900 that doesn't work.

Edit: seriously though...
I think it's because the softwares that's going to be mastered on the CD is moving too fast anyway... and broadband internet is getting so much faster, cheaper, thus more common... so it wouldn't be a big deal for people to just get the absolute latest version of software directly from Nokia.

(Plus, this way they can get some statistics of when/where you're grabbing their software/updates from).
i thought it was because nokia didnt offically support it anyway. I mean there is no pc suit support for it (at least the last time i checked) and thats pretty much what is on the cd that comes with other nokia devices. also.. i think the ovi store still isnt really supporitng the n900 as far as apps go. i guess they didnt give a cd with it cause its like i dont know. not trolling here but i mean, it kinda seems like a step child
