You need mad developer or the power kernel

Maybe I'm missing something but after doing a couple searches on this site I haven't found an explanation - since the last MAD Developer update, instead of saying g_nokia, g_ether, and g_storage (or whatever that one was), in the USB Networking box, it now says Windows Network, Unix Network, and Mass Storage. Is there some one-to-one correlation between these, or has the developer of MAD Developer changed the underlying workings of what MAD Developer does to the USB interface? Perhaps someone actually wrote better modules instead of the ones already there? It would be appreciated if someone pointed me to the right thread or wiki page. If not, I'll eventually figure it out through trial and error and educated guesses, but it would be great to not have to do that.

The underlying kernel modules are still same. The naming is just changed to be descriptive.
The biggest change is that Mad-developer is now able to act as a DHCP server.
When you active DHCP server, then most of machines get IP adderess nicely without manual configuration.

I wish I could thank myself... The tutorial I posted forever ago on getting usb networking working... well, it didn't actually help me directly, but it verified for me I wasn't doing anything wrong (as I haven't had a need to use USB networking for a year or so); which let me actually figure out the one thing I needed to do differently to do this without Mad Developer (vs a year ago when I was slightly more newb, and needed DHCP to do things for me).

Edit: In case anyone cares what I did was I just changed the IP address the Windows Vista -side connection used to the Gateway IP the N900 by default wanted. I suspect people who actually understand USB networking knew this was necessary from the getgo, but for someone like me it was a new and exciting discovery, and engendered more understanding of how the whole IP protocol works.
