I think Sygic 10 has trouble connecting to the internal GPS. The icon flashes but won't find any satellites. But if I turn on the location widget, it instantly locks on the moment I turn on the Ovi Maps widget.

I know I might be stating the obvious but, after install, please reboot your phone. Then try it.

The various "bugs" people are describing (including the slowness) are what I saw when running it straight after install.

After reboot, it is not really slower than MM9 and it isn't leaking memory anywhere. The experience is pretty good with MM10.

I would like to have seen a free-text quick search for a destination (such as that in Ovi maps) but, other than that, it's a nice bit of kit.

Tried this MM10 today for the first time with longer trip. Program segfaults after running 30-60 mins.

Getting better and better :P

And totally agree about free text search, since I usually don't know the exact name of the city where the street is where I want to navigate so I need first to open OVI Maps and check the city/town there before I can find the street with MM10.

Besides constant crashing (today it last almost 50mins without segfaulting) running the MM10 makes my phone REALLY warm. I mean I can run PSX4M @ 950MHz for hours with CPU constantly hitting 100% without the phone getting that warm. Now when I run Sygic MM10 @ 600MHz for half an hour the phone is really hot. CPU usage while navigating is somewhere between 30-60%. Don't know what makes the phone heat up.

Tried this and still no joy. Have also done all the actiosn to clean the device of MM9 and a fresh install but still the same result. I have reported this to Sygic but no reply from them either

If you downscaled the CPU, don't forget to set back its defaults before you start SMM10! (CPUFreq etc...)

If this was pointed to me (learn to quote, please), then I can explain a bit more:
I normally have titan's kernel installed and OC'd @ 950MHz, but when Sygic seemed to segfault I uninstalled the custom kernel and reverted back to default one with no luck and the phone still heats badly.

Don't have CPUFreqUI or anything like that installed.

Hmm, strange problem.
I had full MM9 Europe installed and working fine.
Now I folowed the instructions to uninstall and install MM10 and when I started the program it says "No map loaded, tap here to access the menu".
What to do?

I had to reinstall it two times. First time, I couldn't enter my keycode, second time I didn't get any lock. Try to reinstall it and verify that you have created a new maps folder with the new maps .

Or send a mail to sygic support.

Of course it is heated badly in general! Its normal, and it is drained the full battery within 2 hours.

It's not a new thing.

Explain the exact steps you did with sygic, settings, navigation rout, period etc to be able to reproduce your segfault!
