If you can use standard bluetooth equipment (e.g. mouse and keyboard) without resorting to hacks (I'm looking at you Nokia) then this phone is very cool.

However, it runs android which means porting of linux software is very, very difficult.

If another company can make a similar spec hardware but use a "more proper" installation of linux then I'm sold!

Btw the next iteration would be 32nm.
Smaller chips will produce less heat and consume less power.
That's like the computer CPUs.
I think smaller chip is cheaper too, right? But would be great to see A9 in N9. I would love to see how much battery usage it consume over the single core.

@Sophocha,
If you happy with it then Good on you mate!

I enjoy fast and furious technology

FYI,
Samsung Orion is not a phone lol. It's the CPU made by Samsung or should I say tweak!

But keyboardless device may be a turn off for some so why don't Nokia, bundle a snap to go keyboard that can act as a slider if the user want to.

Let think about a convertible car
A roof came with the car as accessory and If the owner feel like to use it then put it on.

So my idea is a dockable keyboard that slide in and out like the N900. How's that?
Should not be a problem, if nokia joins the rest in using pdmi.

So this Orion processor will show up in products this year? Hmm... anything lesser won't be seen as progressive as Samsung, now will it?

i think that will be more than accommodated for by being manufactured on a smaller more power efficient process.

they clearly saved the announcement for after IFA, so i suspect we wont see any actual products before next year.

This processor is certainly no joke. But before you all get prematurely excited, the press release timeline indicates that the first devices should begin being released at the end of next year (at the earliest)! It's still quite a way away.

Of course it is very exciting news, and the only real competition that's been announced to the Tegra (also A9) thus far.

I'm interested in what TI will have to offer at that point in time and even more interested in what Intel will do in response to this horde rapidly advancing into its territory!
