I gather one should NOT download the new operating system update for PS3 (just came out this morning?) for the jailbreak to work? Or you guys already outsmarted Sony before the update was out

i f'd my phone up, installed this app and switched ps3 jailbreak on/off like 3 times without having the phone connected to the ps3. Then 10 mins later battery was low tried to put it on charge but it dont charge. ive uninstalled psfreedom, deleted the original psfreedom files from root and still dont charge so im gonna flash it now.

3.42 blocks the exploit afaik.
As for backups, I'm not sure about those, I'm using the code from http://github.com/kakaroto/PSFreedom, I'll talk to KaKaRoTo about it, afaik you can use custom payloads and shellcodes, but again I'll ask how and add it to the UI
