Fortunately or unfortunately ? Anyway, the 4.7 link is a giveaway that some sort of 4.6/4.7 cross-install happened and upon removal of your 4.7 install the symlinks broke. Did you by any chance make/install anything Qt4.7 related ?

Which is the "4.7 link"?

Regarding other possible culprits besides the recent PyQt installs, I have only installed one PyGtk app with non-exotic dependencies. So it must be something I have installed and removed, and cannot remember.

EDIT: Could be digiaatweb, that is certainly WebKit related.

Something created that 4.7 link, it is not from the 4.6 Qt packages.

Oh, that link. Well spotted, sir.

Anyway, that link is gone now, and I did not remove it, so it must have been the libqt4-webkit reinstall?
