Even if your warranty is void? Coz you got it from outside the EU. They can and will fix anything for a wee price. I know coz mine came from Asia last december.

But do as a few people have said " Firmware + emmc:" and if you still have the same problem!!! Take it to your nearest NOKIA Care
centre .

yeah i did a reflash with the software update using my laptop,am sure it isn't in video mode if it was it should save the video taken,
the topic is an allusion to a possible cause.
either way all i care about is fixing the phone, not the data or the post name!

Somebody change the title please.

Deliberately using a title that is sure to attract attention should be punishable by banning. Unfortunately, I don't moderate these forums and shall leave it to the people in power to deal with.

Follow the instructions very carefully and reflash firmware AND eMMC. Once you have done this, if you are still having issues it is a hardware problem.

Here is another guide explaining how to flash the N900 (assuming that you are using Windows)

I prefer this guide, because of the steps which are easy to follow and the screen-shots make things a bit clearer. Follow both parts of the guide, and if you do it correctly then all your data will be gone and your phone will be like new Have fun and all the best.

P.S.: If I remember correctly, these steps only work on a 32-bit Windows OS (the last time I used them was like 5moths ago). It might be worthwhile to just try it.
