I have sms sending from command line under works but I have been really busy for 7 months or so...
if someone is interested, I can send the source code (sms sending works perfectly) or try to push it into gitorious... with really tiny modifications you could compile a cli app to send email via built in messaging utility. the command can open a message window after sending (it does that with smses) but I am not sure....
