Hopefully that changes.

They are pushing for the US market as well so maybe with all the internal changes they might get a real US campaign like they provide for us lot in Europe

I still think Nokia phones are the most well-made phones. They hardly ever break and they just last!

at MWC Elop is one of the main Speakers, on the floor there will be a Nokia booth, a Nokia/Qt booth, a Symbian Booth and a MeeGo booth all exhibiting.
Nokia have a big presence so i'm almost certain something big is gonna go down.
just sit back, wait and enjoy

I've been hearing this a lot, but I've yet to really see anything come out of it aside from a low end Nokia 5230 rebrand called the Nuron, I briefly owned one - and a Nokia E73 rebrand called the Mode. T-Mobile marketed both of these as dumb phones which pissed me off pretty hard when I called them asking about some stuff and they tried to tell me "Well sir, the Nuron isn't a smartphone." I was gettin ready to go off about how Symbian was essentially one of the first smartphone OSes, but I just told the rep that "T-Mobile US is effin (censored that) stupid" and hung up.

Pics or it didn't happen. And what I mean by that is proof, it just didn't fit with the internet meme.

My bad, didn't mean to double post.

This is truly doubtful. Nothing has surfaced for their very important N8, and it has features that a lot of folks would jump for if they knew about it.

In the US, subsidizing - a tactic that's unique to Central and North America by now, dropped everywhere else - is king. And Nokia has bucked that system more than once.

And honestly... "lost". North America and Japan are different ballparks. One that Nokia no longer knows how to market towards. Their best bet... set up kiosks in Best Buy Mobile centers/areas, actually do some training, make the nokiausa.com experience much better... and subsidize (I know, evil word) the E, C and other series with the fractured North American carriers.

Hell. Perhaps I do need to be on their marketing team.

Third post in this thread in 15 minutes, but I gotta agree with this.

1 Site is kinda 1998ish in some areas.
2 N900 is still listed, yet hasn't been stocked since, what, August? Had to get mine from Amazon.
3 Site had this weird illuminated area stuck on it when browsing phones, thought my LCD took a ****, got really worried, but it was just the website.
4 About this "US Market Push", where's the C6-01 or the C7? Those phones are brand new S3 devices and we don't even officially get 'em. I'd love a C6-01 to compliment the N900, nice little Symbian device. Damn fixed-focus camera.

I really want to see Nokia make hardware that's better than Apple's.
Software that is slicker than Apple's.
Functionality that's as powerful as Android's.

But I don't want Nokia to show case it to the world.
I want it to come out like the iPad, everyone has no info about it then it hits stores fast.

This way, anything new and exciting, will be exclusive to MeeGo for the time being, giving it one or more advantages over Android ... and hopefully the better choice of open OS for OEM's, KIRF's, and homebrew developers.

The iPad was successful because people will blindly purchase Apple products because Apple made them. MeeGo wouldn't be so lucky.

Looks like C6-01 should be available on amazon.com soon - http://www.amazon.com/Nokia-Unlocked...3946386&sr=8-4

Hey, there was that Coca-Cola commercial that had the Nokia ringtone in it. That counts, right?
