Thanks blue_led! I'm sorry, but I eventually did not understand it right. When I try your example, both behave the same way.

led_current 10; brightness 255 -> short blink
led_current 255; brightness 10 -> short blink

Sorry if I got it all wrong, but do I need a MCE pattern for this to work? For example set the "DeviceOn" pattern to flash and then "End"? In the program I simply call the pattern all the time?

If this is true, why can't I do it with the led_current and brightness? How could a pl5523 application stop my program from working?

Again, thanks a lot!
Daniel

read my posts carefully . i don't write in english like a native but i hope you understand.

you need a pattern.
a pattern ended with "end" not "gotostart"
an activated pattern like battery charge* pattern while is charging mode. or pattern example manually activated by dbus command ( search on forum )
if you try on inactive pattern "black" led yours values wil be overwritten by mce but if you stop mce you can't play with led chip from script only with i2c commands but this is another, more complicated story.
your settings will be erased by any other activated pattern.

you actually need to modify this pattern with only 2 commands:
1) pwm set 127
2) end

all leds enabled ( r & g & b ) on engine 1

after you gain experience with this you can make more complicated "patterns"

install philipp's patern editor http://maemo.org/downloads/product/M...attern-editor/
