I installed fcamera to see if it fixes the prob but it didn't .... tried restarting
and i formated the internal memory and added external mmc that is not ready only just in case and still it would just do the autofucos and when I press the shutter it doesnt take the photo !!
apt-get remove fcam-drivers

nicolai i downloaded the file put it in the right directory but when am abouot to extract it the terminal says cannot open no such file or directory and tar : error is not recoverable : exiting now
what should I do ?
root mv /home/user/MyDocs/camera-ui2.tar /home/user cd /home/user tar xf camera-ui2.tar dsmetool -k /usr/bin/camera-ui ./camera-ui2 exit exit
