hehehe, well you need a very high pitch sound, normally ultra sound has an effect on dogs and cats, one of the reasons that ultra sound remotes didn't become to popular 25+ years ago.

The speakers in the N900 are pretty small, the same size as the N95, and just maybe we can make some software/program or "APP!!!" (really hate that word) that can make the n900 output beyond 25kHz

Indicates at least 20KHz

Another search seems to suggest that the range of frequencies smartphone speakers can output is only 300 to 4k to be exact (EX Smartphone audio engineer)
