Not sitting at home right now to make a .deb file but y'all can use this for now:

Put this file on your N900 in /usr/share/applications/hildon/
http://www.besh.com/~chad/kof.desktop

Put this file on your N900 in /usr/share/icons/hicolor/48x48/apps/
http://www.besh.com/~chad/kof.png

Escape can be mapped to whatever You want in hardware keyboard (without loosing current functions, see "remapping hardware keyboard" wiki article). It *may* not work, when mapped to layer 4 backspace, return or arrows, but - for example - layer 4 "s" (fn + shift + s) works flawlessly.

This way, I got F1-F11 mapped to layer 4 upper row keys, together with all (polish) special characters, + all special symbols found on "regular" computer keyboards. Without loosing any default symbol present on hardware keyboard - layer 4 is *not* used in vanilla keyboard mapping.So, we got plenty (almost all) keys for mapping.

plz help i dont know how t use midnight commander and also i cant move opt to user root . please explain first step how to do it easily or with any viddeo thanksss. and how to enable root permission in midnight commnader?

to enable root permission open xterm
sudo gainroot
mc

thats it now you can move everything you want

Not working icon. Using a sh files for start is not so easy. I try that before and was not working

Both the icon and the desktop shortcut that I posted work fine on my N900. Strange....


Anyone else having problems starting this game from a .desktop file?

I'm having problem running the game via terminal. it shows file not found. I don't know why. And there is a mistake with the downloaded file and the tuto on post 1. The downloaded file is named kof, not kof5

So the correct commands should be:

Code:
sudo gainroot
 chown -R user:users /opt/kof
 chmod +rwx /opt/kof/kofv5.sh
Instead of

Code:
sudo gainroot
 chown -R user:users /opt/kof5
 chmod +rwx /opt/kof5/kofv5.sh
Anyway I did not succeeded to run the game, I will try with cddiede's method and post my feed backs.

EDIT: Trying cddiede's method did not work for me. There must be something wrong, The Icon in the menu stays lighted when clicked. How to wipe all the data and start over??

wht rubbish i done all corectly bt in the last command when i type "./kofv5.sh" it says not found niether ./kof.sh is working. game is not running wht to do now????

did you cd opt/kof ???
dont use sudo gainroot or you will get error.
Also try sh kofv5.sh if ./kofv5 not working
