OTOH, the old type Nokia charger was 5 volts (unless you have a really mesolithic type of charger), so a simple adapter should have you charging away happily.

A word of caution... The unit found here from Boxwave:

does not fit the Nokia N800 quite right... It's a bit too small (as has been stated previously in these forums, it wasn't a fluke...). It's very finicky about staying connected and charging if you ever so slightly move the N800. I'm in the process of returning mine now. The concept is perfect though. I wish I could find another unit that is retractable and supports USB and power like the Boxwave product.
