Is there a fix for this?
Obviously this depends on how fat your fingers are, but mine are reasonably large and i find that tapping slightly above the 'write here' box works better then tapping on it directly, this could be due to the way the screen is slightly curved and also as the device is waiting for you to swipe up when you press any edge of the screen.

Try pressing slightly above the bar let me know how it goes

I returned my N9 and now I'm waiting for a new one so right now I can't try your trick but tomorrow I will ask my friend to do that.

And yes, in last 3 years I had exactly the same colection of phones like you: N900, green N8, silver E7 and now black N9.

Lol what a strange coincidence! All my phones have been black from the N900 to the N9 but the exact same models

TBH I did love all of them for different reasons!

N900 - Ability to do everything with a pretty good keyboard
N8 - Incredible camera
E7 - Incredible screen and keyboard
N9 - Just an updated N900 really but I do miss the keyboard, although not enough for it to bother me, the Onscreen one is very good tbh

My trick seems to always work for me, so please let me know if it helps

Also might I ask why you returned your N9?

N900 was OK, but I don't like phones without portrait UI...
Then, the N8. Camera, fit and finish...perfect, but small screen.
E7 - the best keyboard, best good looking, fit and finish even better than N8, touch response...

And now, N9. It's so sexy than when I put it next to me on my bed, I can masturbate!! It's incredible.

Why I returned? The lock/on/off button was a little bit loosy, it wasn't tight, then ne speaker was so low, and on max produced some noise that I didn't like. Then the screen had some black spots (known issue) and touch on message app. I know it's a software issue but...
Reception was not that good.

I will write you about that trick, and I appreciate your help.

Ahh I see you had a whole bunch of issues, well when you get your new N9, be careful with the usb cover, managed to break mine tonight

Fixed it sorta with superglue but still not great..

Yes, I was carefull with it, because I saw I can **** it up.
How's your overall touch response if you compare it with E7?

Well tbh i have found that they are pretty similar, the n9 screen has a much nicer feel to it compared to the e7, but i rexkon they are preety similar, i definately feel i made less mistakes on thr e7's vkb, but it might be because im still not used to thia n9 yet :P

No, no, the E7 was an abomination of a phone... It was an honest reject from Nokia. I had one and was not a fan, and I'm rarely not a fan, it reminded me too much of the N97 and it's flaws.

Besides the occasional slow downs I found the E7 to be a perfectly good PHONE, not a good computer, but a brilliant phone itself, great signal ect.
