need some help here, as i am not a power user of linux. When i tried to replace the original file of meegotuchhome.css on my N9 using filemanager (fileman, filebox and QAD file manager) it says that iam not allowed to replace the file.

then i try to edit the file using Xterm (nano) but i dont know how to save the file? plus is there any way/command to find string in nano using xterm for faster search.

what's better is there any way that i can modify the text file using text editor? all the file manager installed in my N9 seems dont have this options (to open a file using text editor)

Thanks in advance
Hi, I'm not a power user either :-) So frankly I can't help you a lot but I'm sure someone with more knowledge can teach us!

I know it's possible using vi in the terminal and that there is a command to skip to a line

-> ESC :500

to go to line 500. The following link might help:

http://cmgm.stanford.edu/classes/unix/vi.html

In any case,that's why I transfer the file to MyDocs and then use the cp command to copy it to the correct directory.

1.- Copy the file (orange or blue) from the computer to your MyDocs folder on the phone
2.- Open the terminal
3.- Type devel-su
4.- Enter your password (default is rootme)
5.- Type in the following command (it’s all on one line
cp /home/user/MyDocs/meegotouchhome.css /usr/share/themes/base/meegotouch/meegotouchhome/style/

6.- Hit Enter
7.- Reboot

Yes, I find date and time way too small. If you have an idea, I'm interested. First try: same color (grey?) but bigger.

Anyway, thanks for this very useful mod.

To modify those labels:

Published date -> Line 709: MLabelStyle#EventFeedItemTimestampLabel

Small separator -> Line 717: MLabelStyle#EventFeedItemFooterSeparatorLabel

# of comments, likes -> Line 726: MLabelStyle#EventFeedItemFooterLabel

I tried with setting on all 3:
font: $FONT_FAMILY light 2mm;

And it looks ok. 2.2mm is ok as well. I guess it really depends on how big you want it :-)

Nice mod oSCho,

btw, do you have all the colour code? i mean like FF0000 or else.
I want the blue one like in toggle button, or in the 3.5G status when the connection is active.

I'm a newbie on this
Many thanks

Or can i use this codes anyway?

This corresponds to each red, green, or blue subpixel being either on or off, the only supported modes when the screen is in low-power mode.

I'd say you can use pretty much any color.

The blue you are looking is #0099CC (the 3.5g icon's color).

I used: 0099CC (blue) and FF9900 (orange).
