Paying for incoming SMS? Is that even legal? How can it be? You, the receiver, have no control over this, in the end. In theory some ******* could bankrupt you by sending you 10k SMS.

AT&T does this - depending on your plan. Hell they also charge you for non-network incoming calls!

But this is not my concern, NOR is the purpose of this thread request, so let's be on topic guys, please.

Hmmm...

The idea here guys is for unwanted SMS to NOT ever show in the notification as well as the INBOX folder. It also must prevent the notification sound whenever these unwanted SMS is received by the phone.

Essentially it's more of a filter application. Preventing the phone to sound an alert, automatically 'hides' it (to a cache somewhere) which can also be automatically deleted after a number of days (if it's not manually retrieved by the owner of the phone within x period). It also has a blacklist of numbers as well as a whitelist to which the filtering is based.

This is what Adanced Blocker does basically to unwanted SMS.

definitely would pay for a sms blocker app... "blocker" as in those kind of apps for s60, like mcleaner, for example - filtering to app log, without system notification...

But an application that could block/filter SMS is still not yet available for our phones.

Is there any developer out there who really wants to develop this app for Meego/Harmattan?

I badly need this app and I hope someone can come up the same or similar as that of Melon Mobile's Advanced Blocker

I'd pay for this app.
I hope ................................

Is there any app for counting sent sms?

My operator charges me if I exceed 200 sms...

I need to control myself...

Hi, BlinkThinks
I'm working on the SMS screen app(named FirewallPlus). The key features are ok and I wish i can publish it soon, but you know, part time job

please forgive me that maybe the first version of my app don't have rich features like Advanced Blocker. But you can tell me the most important requirements you think...

That's great news!

I don't mind if it's not as fancy as the Advanced Blocker. My main requirement is one that would mainly stop the messages from appearing in the notification, prevents the alert tone and filters the message based on a blacklist of senders or certain words

Thank you!
