Answer from Citrix, 8/1/07:

We do not have an official ica client release specified for this version as you may know, or any specific 770 documentation, therefore NOKIA may be referenced, but based on my research the Nokia 770 running Debian Linux has been most common to run with our Linux client.

There has been issues depending on whether you are running NOKIA ‘S 770 .. OS 2005 versus OS 2006

“The only Citrix client for the 770 was debian arm compatible. Unfortunately, maemo left debian arm compatibility behind in OS 2005. OS 2006 and later will not run the Citrix client.
I used that client on OS 2005 and it worked with a bluetooth keyboard for input. However, OS 2005 would be a pretty big downgrade on your 770, I wouldn't recommend doing it.
Smallest best citrix setup I can recommend would be a ………………”

Citrix. They're the only ones who know their protocol AFAIK.

Or downgrade to OS 2005 if it's that important to you.

Or find some uber-hacker to let OS 2005-compatible binaries work with the ARMEL EABI on OS 2006 and OS 2007.

Or put it on your windows pc and use rdesktop / vnc to access it

Not a perfect solution, but might be adequate for some users.

Or if Maemo gets a full java engine you could probably use the java ICA.

A JRE would be nice, and high on my list to !
The citrix java client is limited though, you wont get the Program Neighborhood, it will only present you single applications, but hey, it would be a start.

Tried and is working well.
Here how I did it:

an old laptop running winXP professional. N800 rdesktop into the laptop and running Citrex from the laptop. I am also using the winXP software keyboard, Start>Program>Accessories>
Accessibility>On-screen Keyboard and it worked just beautiful. Thanks Konttori.

hlampert, I've gotten the client to run partially on the N900, don't listen to the flames. right now the only broken part of the client is a missing dependecy for Motif 3. If I have more success, Ill post the instructions. I've gotten wfica to work properly, the connection begins, but the application segfaults. (arm build) looking promising!

I missed this thread about Citrix when looking for support a month ago, or i wouldn't have been so optimistic in the other thread on the matter. After reading this, unless i'm missing a new release or uber-hacking on your part, you're nowhere near to getting this to work because the binary is an arm build, and armel is not available.

Arm is ARM architecture, big endian. Armel (what N900 and Maemo5 uses) is ARM architecture, endian-little. Getting arm-targeted binaries to run on a system that only supports armel is going to be some serious hack-fu.

Is this news to you? If so, i'm sorry to break it to you that you're not anywhere near getting it to work.

If you already knew all that and are working miracles to get around it, carry on.
