what i am saying is basically giving you another way for you to ensure that they make YOUR app available to YOU by you telling them you sent it to Nokia Care, your apps are missing and now you want to download them...then they do open it up for you...i think you've got me wrong...

Currently there is no public way. I might be releasing my backup application for coding competition (which also has ovi store applications downloader&reinstallation functionality), but I haven't yet decided if I will release my application to public or should I just keep it private.
PS. and its a bad idea to try to flash different variants, since then you cannot downgrade back to vanilla variant anymore.

If I'm not wrong they have raised the download count to 10, but I'm with you, having a limited numbers of downloads available for purchased contents is silly. Users who tink their devices and need to reflash often reach those caps very fast.

"no public way"
I can solve that
- create folder like /home/user/MyDocs/Temp
- open terminal, get root
- type this, DO NOT PRESS ENTER! cp -a /var/cache/apt /home/user/MyDocs/Temp
- go to store, download app/game
- (wait until progress bar for downloading is complete)
- go to terminal, hit enter

"We are NOT limited to five downloads. We are limited to FIVE ACTIVATED PS3's at a time. And we can download our content to those 5 systems as many times as we want.
For most of the Games and Game Content we buy anyway.
You can activate up to 5 PS3s and up to 5 PSPs for games. "
