This. I could believe how quickly i ran thru EUR 50 of roaming costs while walking for about not even an hour.

Anyway, the N900 still is &stays my day-to-day communicator.
What's wrong with webos? Works great on my Pre 3.

Are you maybe also using the web other than Twitter/FB? I've never seen such an abysmal situation regarding browsers. The build-in and the "advanced", which is build on the same engine, should never have seen the daylight. The email client otoh is quite ok. (speaking for the TP)
And none took the effort porting or building something usable.

A system can't live from good taskswitcher and notifications alone. Especially if the "ecosystem" is non-existent, and the community consists to a high degree of joe regulars and script-kids, whom can pull off only a handful of good projects (Wterm, TouchPlayer, Google Maps, f.e.) while not being able to actually fix the OS' shortcomings.

The devices even suck as pure media consumption devices (castrated GStreamer framework, shitty video players f.e.).

Hmmm, I have to agree there with you. I really love the way the OS works but the browser is really bad. I try to use it as less as possible, delaying my interwebs task until I am at a desk with a laptop/pc. Altough the browser is much faster than the N900 browser.

Don't use facebook or twitter, don't need many apps either, but have to say apps on n900 are much better and more powerfull. Trying to sell my Pre 3 now, so I can go back to N900 :-)
