Don't expect too much from Jolla...They are a small start-up so its going to be pretty difficult for them to get all the goodies...An average camera is what they should most probably provide...

Maybe. At least initially. I am personally content with N9's camera. But I mainly take family pictures and the occasional scenery picture. But as an anecdote, my wife has galaxy 2, and we prefer to take pictures with N9 for its quality.

Any thoughts o the Jolla mobile? When and what and will it have as good a camera as the N9, let alone the N8?

Who knows until its out. But I would be surprised if the first Jolla phone had such exceptionally good camera. I'm hoping for overall superior smartphone experience from them :-).

That's interesting. I mainly take family and scenery photos, and between my N8 and my husband's OneX, we both prefer my N8's photos. Of course it doesn't compare to his Canon 60D, but it's not trying to

Rubbish. Still don't know what to do. Thanks everyone for their input though

edit: put a bid up on an N9 on ebay. Dont want to go whole hog for brand new 64gb one,not just yet.

I took the plunge. Won one off ebay. If i dont like it, I can sell it on. If i do like it, I can sell it on and get a nice new one with 4 times the space.

Thanks everyone for the advice.

Oh, I have a lot to learn! I'm sure I'll be bugging you guys for help soon enough :-)

I've only used android a bit, and Symbian, in like seven years, so I have a huge learning curve. I do understand a fair bit about Linux though, so hopefully it won't be too big of a gap to leap.

Thanks again x

if you had bought a N900 then there should have been a reason to be ""nervous"".

It takes some time to get used to it.

But, the N9 is a totally different world. You'll be at home in just 10 minutes after you power it on. Yes, it's that easy!
