I got this working with my personal menu!!! All i had to do was put in "exec kobodl" for the command to exicute bar. here's a screenshot:

runs great on my n810, bbooting from sd, rotation kernel... sound loads in 25 seconds or so. thanks

yep, that was a hiccup..!

The version out for the n900 (0.5.1-5maemo4) doesn't start from the icon but does from the shell... no clue why, it seems to run the same command but after a 10 sec loads it just quit.

It may take too long to acknowledge the inital DBus message. When started from command line, kobodeluxe does take a long time to load. The fix would be to set it up as an executable rather than a DBus service.

Installed on my N900 last night but does not seem to start. Whats the command to start from shell?

.service file was just placed in wrong place. I had also manually placed the file in correct path in my system so the error went unnoticed.

for CLI use:

/usr/games/kobodl

Tried the latest version but it hangs on "Loading Sound Effects" forever.

Takes a long time - but well worth the wait. Have some patience and just let it do its thing.

Once optified, it could run with pre-rendered sounds.
