The review on gadgeteer does seem it's worth it...but he's using on a monochrome palm. How well does it work on nokia's really fine resolution? I just want to protect the screen but most of all...readable...my eyes aren't that great. direst would you mind posting a before and after photo of some text displayed on the screen?

I would like to see it. You should be able to open up the Jpegs in some sort of digital picture software and save them with higher compression.

Yes, but what will you do with a heavy compressed jpeg... if you' re interested in seeing the effect of the screen protector? You should want a decent image.

direst could use imageshack or other similar image hosting site.

That said, Brando Ultra Clear are considered the best screen protectors out there. Almost completely transparent, perhaps a bit of a PITA to install properly, but very durable.

What about posting them in one of the on-line picture developing places (i.e. shutterfly, imagestation, etc...) and pasting the links here?

A protector for a LCD screen is pretty much universal as long as it fits. I've tried a myriad of different materials ranging from the sticky clear sheets used to laminate paper to scotch tape to the PSP protector sheets. I've never damaged a screen sticking weird stuff to it but I've had loads of scratches from grit on a unprotected screen.

The only thing you have to watch out for it is to (as others have noted) avoid shoving the protector underneath the edges of the screen, thus applying constant pressure and rendering the digitizer unusable. Scary the first time you do it and wonder if you've ruined something, but merely an annoyance the next time. The Pelican PSP protector I used is wonderful because it's rigid enough to pull up and reposition easily without destroying it or introducing bubbles.

The worst material I've ever tried is the paper laminating sheet; it will leave a terrible gummy residue that only comes off using isopropyl (rubbing) alchohol.

In my humble opinion, the Pelican PSP Screen Protectors are great....Inexpensive, Crystal clear, Semi Anti Glare and easy to apply.....my Wife and I have been using them for over a month now on our 770's with NO wear.
I also love the fact that when applied correctly....you can't tell your using one....it looks like the Factory Screen.

I'll second that opinion about the Pelican. I can't even tell it is on the screen. I had one bubble under the film after installation, and I just held it up to a desk lamp for a little while (15s) and the bubble went away with a little squeezing.

I bought the hori psp screen protectors from ebgames for $5/each. All you need to do is cut about 1/2 cm from the side and you're golden. They are great. I can barely tell that it has a screen protector when the screen is off, can't tell when it is on. Does not affect the sensitivity of the touch screen at all. Great screen protectors.
