@lorenzo -a mean take only ape algorithm from file, not use it for flashing.
@Garp zImage.pr13 is nitdroid dualboot kernel. If you want dualboot to nitdroid you can use it. my file is just harmattan kernel without patches for dualboot or nitdroid.

so i flashed the open mode kernel and want to reformat my MyDocs partition...
my idea was to mount it (thanks to coderus for the link with instructions o how to do that!) and then just copy everything to my pc -> reformat -> copy everything back
for editing /etc/fstab:
is it enough just to replace vfat with ext4?
sound good?

edit mmcblk0p1 (MyDocs) entry same with mmcblk0p2 (userfs), not just replacing vfat with ext4

ok
so the procedure is to edit fstab -> shutdown -> boot with rescue initrd -> copy -> reformat -> copy back?
mmcblk0p2 doesn't exist in my fstab, just mmcblk0p3 which is /home

i don't think that a lot of people on TMO use windows (and especially this particular tool) to modify file systems.
however, it will probably work since i cannot imagine that this tool creates something like a non-standard ext4 fs or something

@Garp i really have no idea. I do not recommend you to export partitions in Windows, better use any ubuntu or other debian-like LiveCD (usb)

so it turns out that my ****in' stupid mac doesn't know mkfs command
is there a way to do this directly on my n9?
EDIT:
nevermind, unmount MyDocs and formating it works for me
