Your created file was with ifconfig.
I need all "log files" when your N900 couldn't find networks.
Do you were able to get wlan0 everytime with the ifconfig?

When you wifi search is not working you can try to use this script to also restart wlancon daemon. Maybe you need to run it twice because it is an enable/disable script.

From the modules.txt it seems that all necessary modules are loaded.
