Hi Guys,

Just picked up a new VW Golf GTI Mk6 yesterday with a Kulfatec Fiscon after market bluetooth kit in it. Pissed when the thing did not upload the contacts, however after installing the .deb files all is dandy,

you can add kulfatec fiscon to your list in the wiki imho.

Thanks for the work!

Hi there,

I hope that someone can help me with this. I am not used to work with x-terminal.
I have installed this software on my N900 for using it with Parrot 6100. It worked well but for a few weeks I can't use my steering wheel buttons anymore.
I have downgraded to the original state and after that I tried to install the newest version (libopenobex2_1.5_armel.deb and obexd2_0.30-0meamo1_armel.deb). But every time when I check the version with x-terminal (apt-get remove openobex-apps - cd /home/user/mypackages - dpkg -i *.deb) I see that the version obexd0.18 is still installed.
Do I have to remove this old version before I can install the newest one? How can I do this?

Many thanks for your help!

Maarten

Maarten:
I fail to see a connection between your n900 and your steering wheel (problem)...

But about the obexd, yes obexd-0.18 should still be there. obexd2_0.30 lives next to it to avoid future upgrade problems with the base maemo packages .

2007 BMW 335i -- does not seem to work:

- Installed updated obex
- Verified that obex is running with --pbap
- Everything works the same as before the update: voice comm works, call logs or phone book are not pushed through to the car
- Created a log with hcidump (attached) but cannot see any obvious errors from it.

Found AT+CBPS in the log, but nothing in the way of OBEX/PBAP . AT-command support +1.

hello everyone, i must confess im a mechanical engineer not a technical guy when it comes to computers and programming etc and dont understand any of the abreviations or jargon.

to cut a long story short i have an N900 which i love and would like to purchase one of these http://www.kenwood-electronics.co.uk...h/KDC-BT8044U/ . please can someone tell me if i can get this to sync with my N900 ie get phone book access and dial out and receive calls from the head unit so i can leave my phone in my pocket. i have read the old thread and this one but im afraid it does not mean much to me.

i was hoping one of you would understand the subject so well, that you could explain it to me in simple terms.

i hope you can help

kind regards

Toby

I do not have that exact model of Kenwood but I do have a Kenwood KDC-HD942U head unit with a KCA-BT200 bluetooth module and it works great.

The magic question is does the unit support the "PBAP" profile, otherwise known as phone book access profile. If it is one of the supported bluetooth profiles, you are probably fine.

<edit> just clicked on the link you provided and found the tech specs. It says it supports PBAP so I would be very surprised if it does not work.

Thats great, thank you very much for your help.

My next question is, How simple is it for a complete novice to install on the software or code etc as discussed in this thread on my N900 bearing in mind I dont understand a word of it?

I would need complete beginner step by step instructions, and I would imagine Im not the only one. This is all new to me.

Cheers
