Yup, I do know it's not working .
That's the XML file for the GTK UI Manager (a description of the user interface: the toolbar buttons and the menus) and it's missing in the package I've built.

The issue is, this is "bleeding edge" stuff :P
And you should not use it on your tablet, it may even destroy some or all of your files.

The Maemo Extras repository is not intended for the regular user.

Thanks for reporting it, even tho I knew it.

However when Xournal for Diablo will be announced, a proper bugzilla page will also be ready to accept bugs and enhancements.

It's in the Chinook extras repository.
Just install Xournal from the maemo.org Downloads section.
It should work.

NEWS

***WARNING****
If you have an old version of Xournal remove it!
Remove also the "ghostscript" package, even if this is optional for now (it will later substituted by "gs").

If you want, you can remove Xournal from the command line (root):

dpkg -r libart-2.0
dpkg -r libgnomeprint2.2
dpkg -r libgnomecanvas
dpkg -r ghostscript (OPTIONAL)
dpkg -r xournal

also remove my own old repository. That's going to be shut down soon.

Then install Xournal from the Application Manager the usual way after having enabled the "maemo Extras" repository that is, by default, disabled.

Please, let me know of ANY issues you might have especially for the pressure sensitivity option.
It's enabled by default along with maximum thickness (otherwise you won't have noticed).

And sorry for the trouble of upgrading from version 0.4.1, but I assure you next upgrades will be smoother as soon as it'll hit maemo-extras.

Aniello
I've tried everything and the 4.21 update does not work. I cannot find the Chinook version anywhere. Do you have that rev on your site. My N800 works flawlessly with Diablo. All updated to apps work without a problem save yours. Prior to 4.21, Xournal was great. Specifics are needed here. I am not a coder, I am a user and Xournal is an app I use all the time. No longer. Please help on this as I know I am not alone in this situation.

Xournal for Chinook is untouched.

To install it, simply add the chinook repository:

Catalog name: maemo Extras (chinook)
Web address: http://repository.maemo.org/extras
Distribution: chinook
Components: free non-free

Catalog name: maemo Extras Devel (chinook)
Web address: http://repository.maemo.org/extras-devel
Distribution: chinook
Components: free non-free

Disable the maemo Extras Devel (diablo) repository, in case you have it enabled.
After the installation remove the "maemo Extras Devel (chinook)" repository.

It should now work.

I have updated the .install file from the Downloads section on the maemo.org website.
It'll now install chinook specific versions of "maemo Extras" and "maemo Extras Devel" repositories.

I have a non-install question... Is there any way to quickly enable the "Hand/move the document" feature? I would love to be able to toggle between moving a .pdf around the screen for easy viewing and then switch back to notation/highlighting. In my desktop version of Xournal the "Hand/move" button shows up on the menu bar.
