i'm curious, other data like boost pressure (for turbo engines), fuel consumption, etc - are these not available from OBD? can we modify carman to read more information from the bluetooth dongle?

i've seen some python libraries that were written to talk to bluetooth OBD interfaces...

Hi.
I received my OBD2 today (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...K%3AMEWNX%3AIT)

It connect well to Carman, seems to work (leds are flashing, red, orange, green), but nothing happens on the screens:

It's for my 2004 Subaru Legacy 3.0r SpecB...

Any idea?

Have you tried starting the engine? Although it should not be necessary, in my Renault Scenic 2000 it would report strange and fluctuating values before starting the engine.

On my Ford Fiesta 2001 it works well even with the engine stopped...

Hi.
I tried with engine on, engine off contact on, contact off: same way...
My car is out for the week (paint...) so I tried with a loan Ford Fiesta 2010 diesel: doesn't work anymore, but arrows on screen didn't disappear, as on my car...
I think this OBD2 don't work with Carman...

The only thing I don't like too much is that it is quit long (about 7 cm).
I'm going to order one of these readers. Do you have any complaints about the reader since you wrote this post? Aside from the <ahem> length of it?

None at all. It works fine so far in both cars.

My only "concern" is what I mentioned in this post: http://talk.maemo.org/showpost.php?p...&postcount=193

But it's IMHO more a car problem than a device problem.

Hi,
I did a clean install of PR1.3. I'm installing all my fav bits but carman reports broken packages.
Is this something I need to change on my end or is it a PR1.3 thing?
As always thanks for your help.
Mark.
