Ok...

1. Apparently Rushmore doesn't know flash works with Firefox: "...that works with Flash content beyond Youtube. Firefox works with nothing else, with the one bonus being no Flash ads..." Well, it works for at least some stuff besides YouTube for me, including unfortunately, ads.

2. On YouTube, playing the same videos for comparison, Firefox works just as well as MicroB for me.

3. I don't find flash performance in general with either Firefox or MicroB much better than barely acceptable, but I don't see very much difference either.

4. It's Firefox now with the 1.0 release. Fennec was the devel code name.

This thread has emerged into a boring flamewar with each further post not carrying substantial new information.
Flash works, no it does not, ok it does not work well, who needs fennec, I use microB, Firefox is better, no it is not...
We have heard this dozens of times and I would appreciate that we come back to the topic which is about Firefox mobile being released and not about a "which sucks more" discussion.
People use microB if suits them, others use Firefox if that suits them better. Period.

Can we please stop argueing about browsers and stick with the Firefox topic? Hints, tips and news? Thanks.

Crash, you have Firefox playing video other than Youtube client based vids? They do not even come up as an option for me, and thankfully, the ads do not either

As far as the plugi-ins, Youtube does not work if "yes", but do if selected as "no".

Yes. Not real heavy flash sites like Hulu, but MicroB won't play those either . IOW, flash in Firefox is pretty much the same as in MicroB.

Now, having gotten all of the unpleasantries out of the way, and even stirring up the pacifist posters, I would like to get back on topic and offer a tip to Firefox mobile users. Don't activate flash support. It makes the browser unusable.

BTW crash, I thanked you, but your thank count didn't go up. I wonder why that is...

Strange. I still could not get it to work, but if no better than default browser, no harm no foul.

I was having problems getting it working as well. Then I found out I have to have flash enabled in microb for it to work in firefox mobile. I'm on a n810 so not sure this is true for n900. On the n810 youtube is not usable in firefox, I got like a very occaisional frame, but sound worked fine.

Okay, what happened to Firefox Mobile and Facebook? I can't get the full Facebook site to work all of a sudden -- it automatically goes back to the Mobile Facebook site. I select for it to go to the full website and after I login it goes right back to the Mobile Facebook site. This was just working the other day, so this is a very recent thing. Is this something that I can change in Firefox or is this something that I will just have to deal with now that Facebook knows about Firefox Mobile?

Looks like it may be back to Tear for me. I was trying to go completely over to Firefox, but....

Incidentally, I'm using Firefox Mobile on a N810.

I also am on an n810. Just tested, and it is the same for me. A couple of days ago I noticed a link on the facebook home page "click here to download a bookmark for your n810". It wasn't in the ads off to the side, and upon clicking it, it opened a page stating that they did not have any downloads for my device.

Thanks, Fbook.

It would seem that facebook id's mozilla mobile as (surprise) a mobile browser, and redirects to the m.facebook site. Although I haven't looked into it, I'm sure there is a way to spoof (useragent switching) the site into allowing you to go to the version you prefer.
