I've had it for 3 hours and I already like it more than my N97.

I wish I had this device, but the only problem in my eyes is the battery life. Mugen just released a $90 solution (which personally stinks). I'm a heavy texter, the OS is awesome and made for it, but the battery isn't .

It's not worth it to me to pull out the earphones, then try to "tune" to a space between stations to find some white noise. Instead, I'm still traveling with my old N800 for this purpose!
Make a recording and play it on endless in the media-player?
Or even better: experiment with gst-launch and audiotestsrc, it offers "white uniform noise". It's a oneliner in X-Term.
(Sorry for the off-topic. Will try tonight and let you know)

Dived in for the N900 this weekend, £460 (16Gb MicroSD inc.)

Thats after serious thought on all that is available right now and whats coming up in the future.

Meego news has'nt bother me at all as IMO Meego v1.0 will pale in comparison to Maemo 5 and its functionality on release. Eventually that will change and thats to be expected but right now the N900 is the most diverse piece of mobile tech available on the market.

By the time Meego is up and running bug free and looking good it will probably be time I bought a new handset anyway. Then I will have a completley different choice of handset/OS on my hands.......I CANT WAIT!

Regret it. Really let down. But oh well, I'll make due until something better comes along. N900 power + iPhone smoothness and clean ui.

People think the same think they think since the last thread that was just like this one.

The ones that are happy, are happy. The ones that are not, are not.

We should relive this every 6-12 hours (the actual MTBURITO - mean time between useless rehash inane topic opening.)

If you could work an extra R in that acronym, it would be even better.
