Well, your replies are more non-answer than mine. You see, I don't care which is "better". But as I said in the previous post, ending up wanting to throw the phone in the wall, is not a good indication of well thought through UI.

Anyway mr jalyst. Why don't you be a bit constructive too. What would you change for the N9 to be a flagship device. Or in other words, what would you change on the N9 to make it more popular? What in your opinion is wrong with the N9?

I think that unfortunately even if the N9 outsold Lumia, they wouldn't bother about it. And due to this fact, maybe it's somewhat pointless to discuss its sales. Let's be happy at least for the N9's existence

You have to do better than that. What I said was that Google statistics backed up my simple observations of top 20 kind of information on online shops in Europe.

As far as I can see, you have no opinion of what is going on, and nothing to back it up. You are only twisting my words.

Probably the biggest problem is that it'd been "canceled" by Elop before it even started being shipped.

Outline all the reasons why the 800's better for your usage than the N9.*
Remembering that your usage can/does vary between users.

As I said before, do that and you've made a solid case...
One that deserves respect as an opinion, not necessarily uniform agreement of course.
Anyone I'm done, I said my time here was limited, pointless debate is pointless.

*remembering that such a debate is derailing the original tenor of this thread:

you don't even own N9, and you are arguing with users who have these devices in their hands. I will give you one simple reason. Its not smooth, it stutters a lot, its sluggish, among other things. I get a headache from the stuttering screen.

Sorry, can't flip that one around, I'm not the one claiming the N8/800 are better, never have.
You've said countless times in this thread that the 800/N8 are much better devices.
You may not have said that in so many words every time, but you've constantly alluded to it.
It's all there for people to read.....
And yet still you can't make a compelling argument as-to-why they're much better devices.

I've had the N9 since October, my wife has the 4s and the N9 is far better with reception and the swipe interface is pure magic. Don't find it impractical at all. If Nokia had marketed this with half the funds they spent on marketing the WP Lumias, this phone (N9) would clearly have attained that mantle of "Flagship" device in my opinion. All the comments I get from SGSII users and iPhone users is "wow". And, don't forget, the biggest markets in the world were left out of it's release and it has still outsold the Lumia's (according to links you can find here and in other forums).

Oh yes I damn well do, what, do you have some kind of portal into my life?
I have encountered the odd stutter...
But that's hardly a compelling argument as-to-why the 800's better.
Unless -for your usage- that's the sole criterion, in which case god help you.
Still waiting for your expert opinion response to this:

If you CBF'd, how about we get back to the original focus of the thread.

Yes of course. Elop is to be blamed. If he had pushed the N9, it would be all nice and glory.

Well, I don't think so. Nokia had done way too many mistakes in the previous years. They couldn't decide if Symbian or Maemo was the future OS, and ended up with two OS'es that could not match Android or iOS. They also ****ed up in the hardware department, EDoF-junk for instance and not understanding Tablets even though they were first. Nokia was out of control and sinking long before Elop entered. Elop simply does what has to be done. It only remains to see if it is possible to save Nokia.
