Thank u Vasvlad that was the problem .. I didn't have weather station, Byway I thought every things it would be all in a package ....

I had a chance to try that renaming idea. Same result, except that the desktop now looked "virgin" and stayed up maybe few seconds longer before the screen flashed and system rebooted.

I can't point at OM Weather being the culprit with any certainty, except that the reboot loop began after the program (+ stations) update. Of course ideally Maemo (latest Diablo here) would be a bit more resilient to such issues.

If you can't think of anything else OMW-related potentially causing the desktop to go into panic mode I'll just cut my losses and rebuild my setup.

I think Omweather is not the source of your problem.

How do I add new locations to the database? There are a lot of places I would like to retrieve weather but the database is (understandably) only a small selection.

I can see the files in /usr/share/omweather/db/weather_com and I have the data downloaded from weather.com for some other stations, but I'd rather not have to add them manually to locations.list and then recalculate all the offsets in countries.list.

Earlier versions of omweather let you add new locations manually, but the current one doesn't seem to have that feature.

Cancel that. I found the tar.gz data from the site which contains a perl script to do the job. Thanks.

n800 diablo - I just recently reflashed my tablet. Now current weather no longer works after a fresh download of OMW and the accompanying database. All I get for current weather is N/A. Thanks..

I am trying to setup OMWeather on my N900 and I can't seem to configure a Station.
It says source: mismeteo.ru (should I put other, which one?)
And then I input Country: USA, Region: Connecticut, but then for City I don't have a list to choose from and whatever I put there (New York, New York City, etc) it just doesn't accept it.
I have installed the OMWeather database, my time is correct.

Hi.
You have installed version Omweather from extras-devel repository and automatically has been installed source of weather forecast - gismeteo.ru . This source is not stable. Please install weather.com as source for your station and use this source for USA stations.

Thank you, that's what I didn't know (and find anywhere) what a valid source would be for me ...
Now it's working and looks super on the N900 !!
