Has anybody noticed there is quite a BIG drop in the video quality when HAVA PC player local connect (in your own home network) compared to remote connect (outside your home network). The drop is video quality is quite obvious. Is the drop related to bandwidth, ie., have more bandwidth at home than just any open wifi on the street?

Actually I haven't ever had any problems with mpeg 2 local streaming on any of the laptops I've used with the hava. In fact, since local's quality is so good, it makes remote look bad. It's acceptable on the Nokia, but I'm not entirely happy with the sound quality on remote mode. I understand we're working with a mpeg 4 compression, I just wish you could tweak the settings like sling where you can adjust the bandwidth used to increase the quality of the picture and hopefully improve sound

Anyway, I've noticed a few issues with the updated software and firmware (July), so after hearing of a new version in the works in the next couple of weeks, I'm hoping it addresses these issues and possibly might help yours

There's a pushed update of the hava player .58 on the diablo platform. It's created a connect problem to the hava box for me with this latest pushed release ( can't connect to p2p internet connection). Had to go directly to hava to get the full 2.3 mb .57 version to make everything work again instead of this 1.7 mb pushed update. Just want to know does anyone else have a problem with this update?

Also, Bunanson, did that latest update Hava software 1.8 and latest firmware solve your problems. I'm happy with local viewing; it's much improved, but remote is still lacking and the hava nokia player still has audio / video sync issues.

I posted a troubleshoot question on hava's support forum

Yes, .58 is a bomb. Thanks for the post. Happy to get .57 back.

Hava 1.8 with player 1.0.0.57 on Nokia 800/a2.2007.51-3

AV desync persisted, it is very noticeable after 30 min of watching. A reboot of the HAVA player on the tablet usually fix it. Other than that, the HAVA is working excellent.

guess Hava heard us because .59 has been released and it now fixes the connection problem. Would still like to know what this release addresses. Anyone from hava reading this?

I have NOT tried too many other company but I am very happy with HAVA. One of the positive side is they DO listen. Thanks HAVA,

Got a Hava Titanium HD WiFi for Christmas and I have to say overall the experience has been positive. I do have a problem with low volume on the N810 player as there doesn't seem to be a volume control on the player itself. Having to rely on the system volume does not produce enough volume to do hear anything if there is any kind of ambient noise around you (without headphones). Anyone have a fix for this? I have provided this feedback to Hava on their forums so we'll see if anything comes of it.

I actually bothered HAVA's bug department over this, but the answer is actually really simple. Turn up the volume on your STB.
