I'd even add that the experience of using and navigating on the last gen of iPhone (3G) is in whole still generally smoother and more fluid than the N900.
I don't know why we are straying from the real issue here, but as you yourself say, the first post is not a buyers/decision post, It's a bashing post - unfortunately too subtle for our nice over permissive mods to correct.

As for the 3G I had it for quite while and when it comes to slow (heavy usage & lots of installs uninstalls, filled memory) It's as slow as you can get.

BUT I won't go on and turn this thread into a bashing thread even if picking on an iPhone is like taking candy from a baby.

Point is that mods on this forum, far too often turn the other cheek to unfair statements.

That's what make iPhone, which is successfully targeting the majority. I don't have a problem with that. So your point is...

Will you accept an iPhone fanboy citing (Apple's design decision of) not having a hardware keyboard when they fall behind in typing speed? Let's not pick and choose as you deem convenient. These products all have compromises, none of them are universally perfect.
I see your argument, you thought I meant in my words "Nokia compromises on nothing". Nokia is not God, they must compromise on a lot of things. We should not waste time on obvious.

My question "Why should Nokia compromises?" refers to the issues of our discussion, not everything. Should I detail in every sentence to explain the obvious? I hope not.

I also think that you will have to eat your own words when this deficiency is fixed in the future (unofficial MeeGo for N900, maybe).
Which word should I eat? Did I say anything that sounds like 'N900 has fully utilized its hardware to maximum usability experience'? I just said you made an unfair comparison with iPhone.

You seem to want a more restrictive rules even though just about everything this community/platform/tech/product about is freedom and openness.

I don't see why anyone needs a mod's assistance in these cases.

If I remember correctly, the thread was made in response of the numerous "why didn't you research it?" replies when there were complaints against N900 whereas all previous complaints were dismissed/attacked, making an unbiased 'research' pretty much impossible to do in this forum.

@9000: I suggest you reread my post... (slowly and calmly). you've missed a couple of important points there.

No, I seem to want an objective buyers guide and not a poster that suggests users to get an iPhone in nice english

I have my N900 since January and I can agree with almost the entire list.

You could add that nokia is giving up Maemo, and... the worse, Meego will not be supported on N900. Bad nokia, no donuts for you.

I experience NONE of the issues you listed, so I don't believe you.
You lie!

Seriously, why couldn't you post your rant to an already existing thread?
I don't know if he's getting paid for thius post, but I'm pretty sure you are filling your wallet with so absurd comment. None? Thatś hilarious. Maybe you have another phone. =]

The list he gave was a summary of all the problems encountered by all the users in the entire maemo community, and it has already been proven down the thread that he made them up as if they're entirely coming from his personal experience. At the end Bec proved that he didn't even own a N900 himself, that was awkward for many people who believed him at the beginning.

Now that you stand up to support him in hope to prolong the dead thread, this time our focus will be different. The only answer you get would be "GO GET PR1.2". Period.

While it's so obvious that you haven't even followed the discussions here as you missed a lot of post regarding official PR1.2 and Meego for N900, your intention to selectively choose this particular long thread to read and answer really buffles me.

Keep up the good work. Have a nice day.
