It would be nice to know in case the OC has something to do with is (as e.g., racing conditions typically manifest themselves due to different timing and thread scheduling). It is however clear that we need to find a working solution to fix the synchronization issues completely.

I'm using qcpufreq -app to oc the cpu. My N900 resets back to 600MHz everytime I restart the device. Most of the times I raise the freq right after booting, but sometimes Io might forget to do s. And the oc freq I use changes... I usually set it somewhere between 800-950MHz. Hmm, I really should try if the oc freqs affect the problems in qspot....

I can say that i also experienced this problem. My qspot client worked the first time but after that it crashed every time during the playlist loading (segfault).

I took the easy route and erased all my playlist from the official spotify client and after that the problem went away.

I am running the stock kernel

It would be nice in case I could myself cause the same problem, that way it would be easier to find the cause. Did you have many playlists, and did you have shared / collaborative ones?

Thanks for the info. It seems that the problems can occur also with ordinary playlists then. I will look into these issues more closely. And hopefully the next version will solve some problems.

I will add that option to a forthcoming QSpot version..

It seems that QSpot is unable to load any playlists (or actually the root playlistcontainer that contains all the actual playlists). Do you have many playlists currently?

I got 17 playlists.
Yesterday i left it open for about 40 minutes.
Then it continued but just showed an empty playlistslist.
I deleted two playlists and now im down to 15 and suddenly it works.
I can't say what caused the error if i ever get it again ill come back here

Thank you very much for the info, nice that you got it to work somehow anyway.. Did the two playlists that you removed happen to be shared / collaborative ones?

Just to let you know that the new version is progressing, and very close to release indeed I have updated the screenshots on the initial thread post.. The screenshots are taken of the new album view, and of the associated context menu which can be activated by longpress on tracks in the playlist / search views.
