The problem is that if you are using a custom transition.ini and rejecting the transitions update that comes with (every) CSSU, some lines are missing in the [thp_tweaks] section.
CSSU misses the new lines that ship with the update and gives FATAL ERROR message...

FIX

Just open your custom transitions.ini in /usr/share/hildon-desktop and or /usr/share/themes/<your theme name> and scroll down to [thp_tweaks]
then add/replace with
Code:
blurless=0
blurless_saturation=0
taskswitcher=0
zaxisrotation=0
forcerotation=0
tactilepopups=0
blacklist=
If there are still problems backup and then delete the transitions.ini in your theme folder and try again.

Cheers,

J4ZZ

If you are not using a special theme then execute this in xterm to load a new transitions.ini file
Note, it will be the default shipped with the new CSSU.

Code:
sudo /opt/CSSUfeatures/updateTransitions copyDefault
If you are using a theme you will need to add manually the missing options in the transitions file.

About the blacklist, I'll wait for it to get stabilised (an update is coming - MAGs words) and in the meantime will think of something to make it easy for me and the users to add/remove programs.
Thanks for the tip. The problem has been solved after a reboot. For information, I was using the default theme (The blue one).

Nice one, but what the **** did you do?

Simply editing your transitions.ini and just adding some lines should definitely not lead to such an error.

Could it be, that you deleted both transitions.ini files from your system?

at least /usr/share/hildon-desktop/transitions.ini should stay, because that's the default location.

Yeah you're right but it seems that vertical scrolling for example is not perfect yet. Some members are facing infinite reboot loop!!!

There are 2 times these lines in the transitions.ini file:
blurless=1
blurless=1

Change that to:

blurless=0
blurless_saturation=0

and the problem is solved.

Actually, this works for me in a way.

I only have one line

blurless=0

I copied it and created another with _saturation and now I have

blurless=0
blurless_saturation=0

and it works

@vivmak

A different problem, but a similar solution. If it works, it works .

All I did was copy the file and make the changes and then replaced the transistion.ini file which I have done on a number of occasions don't know what happened

but alls well that ends well
