No matter who said this or not - it has to be nonsense, and if you'd think about it for just a moment you'd agree.

The €0-option was to "sign up, create an account, show your interest,..." - in short, give them your contact details.

They pointed everyone from outside the EU (+Norway/Switzerland) to the €0-option, knowing they might never ship to this one particular country the person came from.

On the other hand, they have pre-orders (already payed for) from markets they know they'll serve.

What do you expect? That they stick to a first come, first serve principle and let thousands of payed pre-orders collect dust only because "order" #4 was a €0-registration from the Republic of Nauru?

No. Just something called "Order number". The receipt contains the sentence:

We will notify you of your actual priority number at the end of the pre-order period.
That never happened.

(€100 pre-order here)

Look at the image posted before. No distinction was made. It was a preorder as well as the 100 Euro.

But let's ask jolla before we go berserk!

No, they were very clear what the payments were for, you can try to reason it all away now*, but they were 100% clear that they in no way, shape, or form prioritised you above others.

*& be a smart-arse while doing it

No distinction... except that two buttons are labeled "pre-order" while one is labeled "register".

Too bad I can't find the very first preorder pictures anywhe, those with small pictures of the phone, T-shirt & priority status. At least that's what I remember.

EDIT: No, it depicted a VOUCHER, not a priority ticket. My bad

You don't like reason, I know.

So in your world, a person signing up (without paying) from, say, Canada should get the phone before a EU-resident who payed for it. Even though they stated Canada is not on their list yet. Well. Interesting.

Agree with benny... if you didn't pay, your best bet is to go to Helsinki or just wait. If you are a non-EU (excl Switzerland), YMMV as import laws apply.
