I tried the live365 site as well as NPR.org (a site I've been wanting to get working for some time); all the graphics work fine, but no audio. FWIW, this is on a stock PR 1.3 N900 (no CSSU, no KP).

Now for a moment I thought I had reproduced your problem on a fresh stock N900 but after stopping / starting the stream and moving the software slider of volume control up then down finally audio started.
