As I stated somewhere above Live365 audio worked for me on a stock + KP.

Now for a moment I thought I had reproduced your problem on a fresh stock N900 but after stopping / starting the stream and moving the software slider of volume control up then down finally audio started.

Try to increase the volume in the same way you do it on your desktop - use a clip in youtube (for example) and click in the lower part of the video to have access to controls.

at the risk of getting shouted at for being to lazy (and not reading all 2170 posts), is this just a Hex-edited binary or actually something new?

Aha, that did the trick, thanks! Live365 is now giving me audio. Haven't gotten NPR working yet; they might have changed their audio system since the last time I tried it. (I'm sure it's been more than a year since the last time I tried that site.)

EDIT: Aha, got NPR working too! Microb was simply failing to open a new window for the NPR media player. I typed in the address manually, and voila, NPR is streaming audio perfectly.

Yes, you do not need to uninstall the previous flasher.

Working great!! Tried it on websites like http://www.live365.com/ , YouTube, Alfa Romeo and others. At last Flash Player 10 in the N900!
