Yep gotta agree, a really nice function.

I'd have to say

Power Kernel (overclocking!!)
Advanced Power (Battery percentage, time left menu plugin)
AP-News Desktop Widget
cpumem-applet (shows cpu / memory usage in status area)
fAPN (gui for adding gprs apn)
ForecaWeather (desktop weather forecasts)
Irreco (desktop widget for controlling your tv by remote control)
Lens cover reminder
Midnight Commander (file manager)
Petrovich (send files over bluetooth)
Rootsh (root access)
fm-boost (boost transmit power)

There are so many!

I recommend that you try Opera 10.1 ,its lot faster than MicroB and you can use it easily with one hand.

Petrovich is no longer needed in PR 1.2

My "must have" applications (today):

To complete the smartphone:
1) fMMS
2) Office2go (Word, Excel, ppt)
3) Maps
4) Petrovich for file transfer
5) Hermes to update contacts (FB, LinkedIn)
6) FMTX transmitter widget
7) ForecaWeather

Nice applications to have (not in order of importance):
1) Flashlight
2) Mypaint - fantastic sketch app!
3) Wifi switcher
4) Personal Dataplan Monitor
5) Converter (for weights, temp, etc)
6) Recaller
7) Games (angry bird, bounce, cube)
8) Egg timer (could be useful)
9) Sleep analyzer (could be useful)
10) Anglemeter (could be useful)
11) AP News
12) Pedometer
13) Blogger
14) Wikihow
15) Yellow Notes

Applications I wish I had:
1) 3G video call (that works with network, instead of WLAN)
2) Powerpoint presenter (i'm going to try Bluemaemo)
3) Bible
4) Worldmate

Downloaded, but still figuring out how to use:
1) Mobilemap (Sygic) - no maps for APAC
2) QtIrreco - but could not get it to work

I guess it's like a reader application - but you can easily download bibles in the app itself. The NKJV isn't available (I think due to licensing issues which is a problem for free/open source apps) but there is the American KJV and the original version.

1) 3G video call (that works with network, instead of WLAN)
Since when do all of the N900's video calling (technically video chatting, but whatever) features only work on WLAN? I don't personally run my N900 on 3G simply because I don't have the money to afford paying for a data plan as a college student, but I have never once seen anyone say that Skype or Google Talk video chatting/calling didn't work over 3G. Back when the iPhone4 was coming out and Steve Jobs was doing his enough-********-to-cover-multiple-football-fields-spewing (maddox reference), and it was discovered FaceTime only worked over WiFi, one of the points of counter-b!tching was N900 users/fans/zealots saying that the Video Calling/Chatting works over 3G just as well as WiFi.
